ABOUT ME
Masters in Creative Arts Therapies & Graduate Certificate in Play Therapy, Concordia University
My name is Rafaela Diaz-Byers, and I offer therapeutic play and parent coaching services.
During my clinical training, I worked with neurodiverse adults at the Center for Arts in Human Development and supported young mothers and their children at Maison Elizabeth House and On Our Own (O3). Over the past two years, I have collaborated with community organizations, university students, practitioners, and clients of all ages.
My master's in Creative Arts Therapies- drama therapy enhanced my clinical skills for both group and individual therapy, addressing trauma, anxiety, postpartum depression, familial separation, and intellectual and developmental disabilities. I facilitated group workshops with a multidisciplinary team, helping parents explore emotions, confront past traumas, and develop coping skills.
Additionally, I earned a graduate certificate in play therapy, providing evidence-based training in child development, attachment, trauma in family systems, group play therapy, and parent-child relational therapy.
My approach is client-centered and eclectic, tailoring my services to meet your needs.
